Privacy Policy

The short version: Draft Lab has no servers and no user accounts. It does not collect, transmit, or sell any information about you. Everything the app knows stays on your iPhone, and the only place it sends anything is ESPN — on your behalf, to load your own fantasy league.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to the Draft Lab iPhone app. Draft Lab is an independent app built by one person. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ESPN, Disney, or the NFL.

Information we collect

None. There is no backend server behind Draft Lab, no developer account system, and no analytics. The developer cannot see who installed the app, what league you are in, or how you use it. Specifically, the app contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising SDK, and no tracking of any kind. It does not request the advertising identifier and does not track you across other apps or websites.

Information stored on your device

The app stores the following inside its own sandboxed storage on your iPhone. None of it is transmitted to the developer.

ESPN session cookies. When you sign in, ESPN issues two session cookies (espn_s2 and SWID). Draft Lab saves them in the iOS Keychain, which is encrypted by the system. They are never written to logs or to ordinary app storage.
Cached league data. Standings, draft history, rosters, and matchup results pulled from ESPN are cached in the app's private cache folder so the app still works without a connection.
A team preference. If you tell the app which team in your league is yours, that team's numeric ID is saved in app preferences so advice can be framed around your roster.

Where your data goes

Draft Lab contacts exactly one service: ESPN's fantasy football servers. It sends your ESPN session cookies there so ESPN will return your own league's data, which is the same thing that happens when you visit ESPN in a browser. Nothing is sent anywhere else, and nothing is sent to the developer.

Signing in happens on ESPN's own login page, displayed inside the app. Your ESPN or Disney username and password are typed directly into ESPN's page. Draft Lab never sees, stores, or transmits your password.

Player projections and research data ship inside the app itself and require no network connection to use.

Deleting your data

You are always in control of everything the app has stored:

Open Settings inside the app and tap Sign Out. This erases the ESPN session cookies from the Keychain, clears the login browser's cookies, and deletes all cached league data from your device.
Deleting the app from your iPhone removes everything it stored.

Because the developer never receives your data, there is nothing held elsewhere that needs to be deleted, and no deletion request to submit.

Your ESPN account

Your relationship with ESPN is governed by ESPN's own privacy policy and terms. Draft Lab only reads league information that your ESPN account can already see. It does not post, trade, set lineups, or change anything in your ESPN account.

Children's privacy

Draft Lab is rated 4+ and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes what it stores or where it sends data, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
